Auckland Pride Festival

Prepare for a fabulous adventure across the colours of the rainbow, as we launch the 2020 Auckland Pride Festival, OurPride, with a celebration of the queer excellence of Tāmaki Makaurau.
Hosted by the inimitable HugoGrrrl (winner, TVNZ’s House of Drag) , and with direction from award-winning theatre artist Freya Finch, the Auckland Pride Gala returns bigger, brighter and bolder than ever before. Launching OurPride with a one-night only queer extravaganza in the heart of the Aotea Arts Quarter, OurGala includes sickening performances from the legendary COVEN and more artists to be announced soon!
More than just a taste of what’s to come in the programme, OurGala is a Vaudevillian extravaganza of music, drag, cabaret, burlesque, comedy, cirque, and much more. Artists from OurPride’s programme appear alongside special guests and celebrated community members for an unforgettable night at the theatre.
2020’s dresscode is QUEER EXCELLENCE, so dress to impress!
Following the show join Pride in Q’s Barfoot & Thompson Lounge to keep the party going in the centre of the city, with sets from DJ h2ho and DJ Alexa Casino
